Exercise 1
I chose to use paper clips as my material because they can be linked together to create a chain shape.
First, I explored several paper clip placement options.
I finally chose the radial solution.
FINAL:
In the final version, I chose to use the radial method. In order to achieve the best effect, I used Blender to render. The cycles renderer achieved a realistic effect.
Ecercise 2
In exercise 2, I choosing ancient Southeast Asian countries as my theme, the English theme covers elements such as location, classification, time, etc., which is very suitable as the material for LATCH
First I looked up some references on Pinterest. I needed a poster design with a timeline as a reference.
This exercise focuses more on the classification and information expression of LATCH, so I don’t intend to add too much text introduction. I want to make a clear classification.In terms of design, I decided to use a central timeline design. The names of the countries are distributed on both sides of the timeline, with clear LATCH classification.
In the final design, I chose ancient countries from the time period 500 to 2025, with the last time of the country's demise/change as the timeline distribution position.
The LATCH categories in the poster are: time, location (the distribution area in Southeast Asia is divided into two parts) and country type (a total of four types)
In terms of time classification, the world using timelines clearly shows the order of the existence and demise of countries. Different colored lines are used for country types to emphasize different types of political systems. The geographical classification is divided into two sides of the timeline (Indochina and Maritime).
As for the alphabetical classification, since the poster is designed based on time as the main classification and the number of countries that exist at the same time is small, there is no need to use alphabetical distinction
For the color selection, I chose the art deco color scheme that I personally like, which is closer to the subjective feelings given by ancient Southeast Asian countries. It is decorated with traditional Indonesian patterns and Southeast Asian maps, and the pure color area uses mixed colors to create a frosted texture.

Project1
In this project, I need to create an animation to display an information poster. Considering my animation skills and the clear expression of information, I choose a more concise moving bar chart plus a line chart as my choice.
First I looked up some references of bar charts
Compared to exercise2, the amount of data that can be expressed in this project is relatively limited. So I want to choose some intuitive and clear data for my bar chart
I decided to focus on some economic data changes. I think economic data is very suitable for bar charts and line charts. At first, I chose the price changes of industrial copper materials because I often see news about rising copper prices. Unfortunately, the changes in this data are not obvious enough and not impactful enough. Then I turned my attention to AI. NVIDIA's stock market changes are very famous. From the rise of OpenAI to the impact of DeepSeek, NVIDIA's stock price must have changed strongly and dramatically.
After careful selection, I chose NVIDIA's growth data from 2021 to 2025 as the theme of my poster.
I first created a simple chart to show the data I collected.
I have identified two versions. One is Solution 1: uniformly convert the data to positive values.
Processing method: convert all annual increases and decreases to absolute values (i.e. all values are positive).
Applicable scenario: display the annual fluctuations, but do not distinguish between increases and decreases.
The other is Solution 2: use exponential growth method.
Processing method: use the benchmark 100% as a reference, and change the negative increase and decrease bar chart to a relatively low positive value, for example: set the minimum to 10%.
Applicable scenario: still reflect the comparison of decreases, but avoid the bar chart extending downward.
Considering the production and layout of the animation, I abolished the version with negative values.
I still used the Art Deco style in exercise2 for the poster design. I chose the same black and gold color scheme as the professional graphics cards produced by NVIDIA.I left the bar graph part blank. I plan to use 3D compositing techniques to animate the bar graph part.
I made an animation of the bar graph growing, and I also added a reverse part to make the animation loop seamlessly.

Based on the feedback, I highlighted the important data in the text using different colors.
Final Project
In the final project, we decided to choose sleep as our theme. After discussion, the team members decided to start with data and animation to make a popular science video, including situational animation and data popular science.
After determining the division of labor in the team, my responsibility was to be responsible for the production and rendering of 3D assets in the animation. We decided to adopt the style of 2D animation plus 3D background.
In the production, we used a realistic background (classroom) but other small items were rendered in 2D style using a 3D renderer I made.
FeedBack
Participating in the production of a science video on sleep knowledge has profoundly highlighted the significance of teamwork and personal development. Within our collaborative efforts, each member's unique expertise and skills complemented one another, enabling us to address challenges efficiently. Regular team meetings and open communication channels facilitated timely progress sharing, feedback exchange, and swift adjustments to our work direction, thereby enhancing team cohesion and productivity. Clearly defined roles allowed each member to focus on their specific tasks while maintaining close collaboration with others. This division of labor not only elevated the professionalism of our work but also fostered a strong sense of team spirit. Throughout the project, I had the opportunity to apply and refine my professional skills, gaining deeper insights into my capabilities and identifying areas for further improvement. Taking on key responsibilities within the team heightened my awareness of the importance of individual accountability, motivating me to approach my work with greater diligence to ensure timely and high-quality outcomes. Facing various changes and challenges during the project enhanced my adaptability, equipping me to handle uncertainties more confidently in future endeavors. This experience underscored the critical role of 3D rendering and 2D asset creation in science videos, as these visual elements not only enriched the content's expressiveness but also improved audience comprehension and engagement. Collaborating with team members from diverse backgrounds and skill sets taught me the importance of effective communication and coordination, laying a solid foundation for my future professional growth. Through our collective efforts, we not only produced a high-quality video but also experienced significant personal growth and development within the collaborative process.
